To harness the power of the millions of compassionate consumers in the United States, Born Free USA united with Animal Protection Institute will run the program nationally under Consumers for a Fur Free Society (CFFS), as well as work with animal, environmental, and consumer organizations who have taken the lead in other countries to support the program worldwide.

As the program grows, CFFS, along with this website, will become a resource for retailers and consumers alike, offering information on fur farming and trapping, housing an easy retailer sign-up section, and, most importantly, maintaining the up-to-date list of fur-free retailers. This site will be an important tool to help us build a fur free society!

The program is supported and endorsed by the Fur Free Alliance (FFA), an international coalition of more than 35 leading animal protection and environmental organizations worldwide, representing more than 10 million members and supporters in the United States alone.
